Last week when my 60D died on me, I tried to spin a little positivity into this heartbreaking experience (I totally wish I was exaggerating when I say "heartbreaking" but I'm not.) by using it as a push to take more film photos. I set a goal of shooting ten rolls before I got my 60D back and I did it! I actually got it done before I even received the invoice for the repair. Plus I shot two rolls over my goal, as well as two packs of instax, which even though I said would count, it doesn't feel like it does. SO all in all - Fourteen rolls/packs of film! Yeeeeah buddy!
I shot with both my split-cam and my T2. I can't wait to share some of the awesome photos I took during my little challenge. I am so excited. I spent so much of my day on Thursday scanning a bunch of my favorite photos.
While I have no plans of keeping up this momentum (it would get really expensive - fast!) I hope this is the push I needed to grab a film camera once in a while over a digital one. Film photos are so much more special.
