Cleveland Natural History Museum - Part 1

The Cleveland Natural History Museum is one of the coolest places in Cleveland. That being said it was no surprise when Kevin suggested we go there while Ivan and Elycia were out to visit for his birthday two weekends ago. We had a blast and took tons of pictures (you can find Elycia's here).  I only shot film while at the museum and while that's kind of scary seeing as film is unpredictable it ended up being a great choice. I actually have so many photos I love and am proud of that to put them all in one post would be kind of overwhelming. I'm not sure right now how many posts it will end up being but I'll be spacing them out one post filled with photos from the museum per week until they run out.

Here's part one! These are from the lower floor - my absolute favorite part of the museum. It's not very well labeled (at least not in my opinion) that you're allowed to go down the stairs. Every time we go down there, no matter how many times I've been there, I still always feel like I'm sneaking into a secret part of the museum.
These displays are all in a hallway which makes me feel like they're super under appreciated. They're so gorgeous. I could stare for hours just absorbing all the little details. I'm a huge fan of collections so it's quite obvious why these appeal to me. I really just wish they were all in my living room.

All of the photos above were taken with a Canon T2 (my favorite and most reliable 35mm camera) and Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400 that expired in 2010. They were developed at Discount Drug Mart which is the closest place to me that still does one hour photo that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Well I'm going to try to straighten up the house and recover from sleeping in way too late. I woke up with a major, major headache at my normal time (5:30am), so I went back to sleep until 7am, still had a headache so I went back to sleep again and woke up at nearly 10am. I feel so incredibly lazy, but I guess I needed it because now the headache is gone (knock on wood!). Now I need to prove to myself that just because I got up later than normal doesn't mean my whole day is shot. Does anyone else ever feel like that?
xoxo
