you can't take it with you
There is one item in this shop accessories preview that I really wanted to keep, but which I'm going to let go, because I have enough of this item already. Can you guess which item it is? (The answer will be at the end of this update.)
1980s perforated caramel leather wedges, by Dr. Scholls.
1980s spats flats, by Pappagallo.
1950s brasstone filigree box purse, by Empress.
Ikat weave handbag by Christine Custom Bags of Detroit.
1940s corde box purse.
1964 Enid Collins Money Tree X box purse.
Tooled leather Jesus Saves belt and buckle.
Framed pictures for your cottage wall.
Kitschy folklore Mom and Pop mugs by Napcoware.
You're in good hands with Jesus (though according to this picture, Jesus wants to slap you dead like a mosquito).
oh, and the item I really want to keep?
....it's the
woven
ikat purse!

I'm so happy they keep coming out with more Sally Hansen nail strips. You can find where I've blogged about them in the past right here. I still super duper love these things.

10 // this photo from the fall...
(my dad carved "i luv u" in this puffball, put it back where he found it then told me he saw some mushrooms over on the dam and that I should go look. I'd be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear about how cute it was!)
Those along with a million other things are what's making me smile today. Elycia and I had the best weekend ever, I can't wait to start sharing some of the amazing things we worked on (starting tomorrow! You should be pumped, I sure am! For about 99.99% of TDS readers this will be the first time you get to see me move and see that I'm a real person! Haha.) Plus it's supposed to be 55°F today, words cannot express my excitement! I'm so ready to get outside, I hope my work hours fly by and this evening moves in slow motion.
What's making you smile today?

Stray Kitty
The other day I walked in my living room and saw this sight in my dining room...
Normally my kitties are pretty nuts when they see a stray, or any animal that they don't know hanging out outside but they were just hanging out with this guy like they were good pals. It was the sweetest thing ever. I think Leaf, especially, was smitten with him. During the four or five hours that he hung out on the deck I took so many pictures. He's such a beautiful kitty! I wish we could adopt him. I wonder where he's from, or if he has a home. I especially wonder what his name is, I have yet to name him even though I've named all the other neighborhood strays.
Aren't those eyes hypnotizing?! I am just in love! I hope he continues to visits often. He's been back everyday since. I made him up a little shelter on the deck to protect him from the wind (it's been crazy windy here lately!) and I fill up a little plate of food for him daily.
Oh - and of course, seeing as they're my favorite, I have to include a photo of him with his tongue out...
Hope you have a fabulous day! Elycia and I have some awesome plans, I can't wait!

macro thrift
Andy and I took a little thrift trip yesterday, and I snapped some photos.
I didn't buy the Music for a German Dinner at Home vinyl, and I kind of wish I had.

This is so beautiful Fog is so charming, I would love to unzip my tent on a cool morning to see this. That being said, I just really would love to go camping right about now. I've dying for spring to get here!

Earlier this week Elsie shared this awesome tutorial to add a little flare to your boots. I absolutely love this idea.

What a cute little planter!
(via: PataPri)
This coat is too cute, I adore the detachable collar lining, the shape, the color, everything!!
(via: modcloth)
Four words : dream house, perfect location! I'd love to live somewhere without neighbors close by. I'm totally over hearing my neighbor rev his car for 15 minutes at a time, three times a day, everyday.

This ring is too cute! I love small simple rings.

This embroidered necklace of the United States is pretty amazing. I wish I knew how to embroider!
(via: ilgattoselvatico)
Air plants look so beautiful planted in urchins! This, my friends, is what I want for Valentines day! They'd look perfect on my desk.

I'm ridiculously in love with this dress from Lu Flux. I don't think I've ever seen a dress that would suit my strange fashion tastes more. I saw Kate from The United States of Tara (ps. I highly recommend that show. I've torn through all but three episodes this week!) wearing it and had to search online and find it.

Paper craft cameras! They come in a few different & absolutely adorable patterns too!

❚❚❙❙❘ This lamp is probably the most perfect lamp ever made! I'd probably melt into puddle if I ever found it while thrifting.
❚❚❙❙❘ This shop has so many fabulous pairs of vintage glasses. I would LOVE to go to their house and try them all on!
Hope you all have a great Friday!
xoxo
