Last time I got tattooed my artist (who lives fairly close to us) told us about this great place to hike that's not far from home and where there are all these beautiful ledges and paths. We finally got around to checking it out last week, and he was not kidding. It's amazing! These pictures don't even begin to do the area justice.

The ground almost everywhere was a thick carpet of moss, it was so gorgeous! And the ledges - on a clear day you could probably see for miles and miles. We only hiked on top of the ledges, I thought it might be kind of dangerous to be climbing since it's an area we're unfamiliar with and the leaves were covering the ground. (although just walking up top proved to be dangerous seeing as I fell in a hole and hyper-extended my knee!) I'm very excited to go back and explore further. Hopefully we get a chance before the snow, if not it will have to wait until spring!
Oh yeah, and I saw this sign....?
We're trying to get outside every chance we get before all the green is gone. As much as I look forward to snow I instantly miss the greenery as soon as it's gone! Luckily looking at pretty pictures I've taken earlier in the year makes it a little bit better and easier to bear. xoxo
